Single syllable (presumably) from the song of a male from Bell County, Texas (J.D.Spooner's recording PAm201a). [If the soft sounds preceding each group of intense pulses should be the sound of forewing opening, this waveform would be a sequence of three syllables. Except for A. longinicta (Walker & Dew 1972), stridulatory wing movements of species of Amblycorypha remain to be recorded and matched with the sounds produced. Until then, identification of syllables in other species is speculative.]
