This photo and the next four were selected from some 93 photos submitted to iNaturalist and BugGuide during the population explosion of the Mediterranean katydid after it was discovered in New York City's Central Park in or before 2009. This is an early instar juvenile, perhaps a male; Central Park, New York City, 1 Jul 2007. [It was not recognized as being a juvenile Mediterranean katydid until 2010.]
