The single record for Oecanthus beameri is in White Sands National Park, Otero County, New Mexico. Seven adult males and one adult female were collected on dunes near the Interdune Boardwalk, September 2021. The males were located by their calling songs and found about 1 meter off the ground on hoary rosemary mint. The female was found on an oatmeal trail laid on the sand surface.
