Your support for our society, along with several endowments, helps us maintain the following initiatives:
1) Metaleptea, our tri-annual newsletter.
2) Journal of Orthoptera Research, our bi-annual, open access, and peer-reviewed journal. Publishing is free for members and is $15/page for non-members.
3) Grants for research and travel, and occasional awards.
4) Orthoptera Species File Online, a web-based taxonomic database of the world’s Orthoptera (grasshoppers, locusts, katydids and crickets), both living and fossil.
There are 4 membership categories, each with a different annual rate. Please review, choose your category and the add-on option if desired, and check-out securely with PayPal using the “Add to Cart” button below. Remember, a PayPal account is not needed and most major credit cards are accepted.
1) Student/Concessional* Member = $10 USD/Year
(*for those living in developing countries)
2) Member = $25 USD/Year
3) Sustaining Member = $75 USD/Year (this is the same as Member, but for those who wish to contribute an additional $50 to help us with the above initiatives)
4) Lifetime Member = $600 USD One-Time-Payment (includes 2 issues/year print copy of Journal of Orthoptera Research)
