IMPORTANT: If you’re a NEW member who is paying with PayPal you’ll still need to fill out the form and email it to our Treasurer, so you can be added to the Member Database.
Your support for our society, along with several endowments, helps us maintain the following initiatives:
1) Metaleptea, our tri-annual newsletter.
2) Journal of Orthoptera Research, our bi-annual, open access, and peer-reviewed journal. Publishing is free for members and is $15/page for non-members.
3) Grants for research and travel, and occasional awards.
4) Orthoptera Species File Online, a web-based taxonomic database of the world’s Orthoptera (grasshoppers, locusts, katydids and crickets), both living and fossil.
There are 4 membership categories, each with a different annual rate. Please review, choose your category and the add-on option if desired, and check-out securely with PayPal using the “Add to Cart” button below. Remember, a PayPal account is not needed and most major credit cards are accepted.
1) Student/Concessional* Member = $10 USD
(*for those living in developing countries)
2) Member = $25 USD
3) Sustaining Member = $75 USD (this is the same as Member, but for those who wish to contribute an additional $50 to help us with the above initiatives)
4) Lifetime Member = $600 USD (includes 2 issues/year print copy of Journal of Orthoptera Research)
Add-On Option (you must first choose from membership categories #1-3):
