Morphology
Small body size for Ovatus Group, pronotum length 10–12 mm. Similar in appearance to A. segnis but smaller. Male paraproct processes A. strobilion, apical, mesally directed tooth. Paraproct processes are about 2 times as long as wide. Other Ovatus Group species (except A. segnis), subapical tooth. A. segnis, paraproct processes are about 3 times as long as wide. Male pronotal disk A. strobilion, abundant black longitudinal streaks. A. armiger, reduced black streaking. Female unknown. See Key to Aglaothorax species. |
